Editorial Policy

Our aim is to help readers make informed decisions about their homes and everyday routines. This policy applies to our guides, comparisons and lifestyle articles.

Research and selection

We start with a real household problem, then consider practicality, suitability, care, space, cost considerations and alternatives. Product facts are checked against manufacturer or retailer information. Sources appear within articles or in their further-reading sections. A source check date is not a promise of current stock, price or specification.

Research is different from testing

Current buying guides are research-based. We have not conducted independent laboratory or hands-on product testing for these articles. We do not invent ownership, measurements, ratings, customer experiences or long-term results. Photography is illustrative and may depict items unrelated to the retailers linked.

Where future hands-on testing is used, the article will explain the method, duration and limitations. Products are not assigned numeric scores without a stated method. Scenario-based recommendations reflect editorial judgement, not a universal best product.

Commercial independence

Retailer links currently provide ordinary routes to shopping information. No active affiliate-program membership is claimed. If commission-earning links or paid work are introduced, they will be disclosed close to the relevant content. Payment will not be presented as an independent review or a guaranteed positive conclusion.

Writing and review

Digital and AI-assisted tools may support drafting, organisation and editing. Articles remain subject to factual and editorial checks. We avoid fabricated first-person stories and unsupported professional credentials. General wellbeing content is informational; readers should seek qualified help for personal health concerns.

Corrections and updates

Send corrections to hello@athomewithalice.com with the page URL and supporting information. Material factual corrections will be reflected in the article, with an updated date when substantive changes are made. A publication date describes the editorial archive entry and does not establish how long a product has been used.

See our affiliate disclosure for more about links and commercial relationships.
